Concrete Flying Machines (Post 4, Steven's Version)
The third day of the trip, in Nassau, Bahamas, was my favorite day of the trip, and one of my favorite days of the summer, along with some concerts.
I woke up looking straight out at a sight I had seen only six months ago: Nassau. DUH. I had been there to see my brother off on SAS (Don't ask. Please). I hurriedly rushed outside with my grandmother and we proceeded to the shops, where we briefly glimpsed at small impulse items until I decided to meet back with my grandma outside the ship.
I went back into the ship and got a coffee, and also filmed some more videos, like a tour of the boat, and a special prank.
Time flies when you're having fun, and I ran out to meet Grandma outside the boat. We found the lady who took us to the man who took us the Segways (phew!). The van driver was a nice man named David. e expressedsome interest in seeing my videos.
We finally got to the segways, which were located in a cricket field. We met our guide, a man from Oregon named Erin. After a five minute lecture about the segways, we tried them out and began our guided tour.
After a quick, educational stop in Fort Charlotte, we picked our trip back up and everything was running smoothly until...
ELAINE FELL! We went down a ramp, and after clearing the ramp, Grandma continued riding into the street. We told herto turn around, and as she did, she hit a curb and fell backwards. She was okay, thanks to elbow pads and knee pads and such, and the segway was virtually unharmed.
We then finished the trip and returned to the Sovereign of the Seas, where we saw my favorite performer, Chad Chesmark, perform his unique brand of comedy and magic (I took a video of it).
The night wound down and so did we, as I went into my room and fell asleep.

Sun 'Nuff (Post 3, Elaine's Version)
Coco Cay Beach: Our first awakening after boarding the Ship was in the harbor of Coco Cay. It's an island owned by Royal Caribbean for the sole purpose of offering their passengers a day on the beach to surf, swim or parasail. We were all boarded on a tender that shuttled us back and forth to the "mother ship". The hard working crew aboard "Sovern of the Seas" prepared a bbq lunch and served it out of huts on the island. Steven and I spent about 15 minutes in the hot sun and decided immediately - this was not the route we wanted to prusue. Back on the ship pronto. We enjoyed shipboard activities the remainder of the day and into the evening. We tried to play bingo but when the bingo attendant told us it would be $70 to play - Steven ran in the opposite direction right after he told the guy - "I'm outta' here". All in all our second day was pleasant but uneventful.

Are You CocoCay With That? (Post 3, Steven's Version)
The cruise is done. But more about that later.
I woke up on the second day on Cococay Beach. Grandma and I had some breakfast, and headed straight over to CocoCay Beach, a private beach owned by Royal Caribbean. We took a tender over to the beach, (I have video of all of this) and wetook a tour of CocoCay. I left Grandma to sunbathe as I returned back to Sovereign of the Seas.
WhenI returned, I took a nap in my room (one of many), and I walked around the boat (with my camera in tow, of course) and filmed various things.
Grandma and I reunited, and she went to see a musical as I went to the teenagers club, Fuel. It was pretty cool. I got back to the room and fell asleep at around ten. The last thing I heard was the cruise liner slowly leaving the beach...

Oh Ship, It's Not What I Thought! (Post 2, Elaine's Version)
Well, it is an experience. Our first night wasn't exactly as I had expected but, I'm getting accustomed to having the ability to brush my teeth, take a shower and use the toilet without making a move.
I did manage to get suitcases unpacked and stowed - thank goodness. We have about about 150 sq. feet - my next cruise will be some ship's maiden voyage - new and bright.
Our dinner table is shared with a family of 4 who are very disillusioned with the cruise as well. Steven's headache kept him hostage in the room a large part of last night until about 10 PM when he discovered hunger pangs - which made us realize he hadn't had much to eat all day. Johnny Rocket's came in real handy with burgers and fries.
I enjoyed a very late night sitting on the 11th deck beside the pool listening to my ipod with a lovely ocean breeze blowing. Well that was about all of the first day - tomorrow will be more of what we did today.

Headaches (Post 2, Steven's Version)
Hey it's Steven here, from the boat, on the computer service. But this post is about yesterday.
I began the day going through the rigorous lines to enter the boat. After entering "Sovereign of the Seas", I immediately went to our room, which was quite small, but I liked it. Grandma didn't, but I'll let her talk about that. That night, we saw a comedian and I came down with a bad headache, and I had to spend the night in bed while Grandma went out. I watched "I Am Sam" on the movie channel.
I woke up at around ten, and went upstairs to a restruant called "Johnny Rockets" where I had a burger and fries. I fell back asleep, and woke up at Cococay Beach. But I'll post today's story tonight.
I have filmed about ten videos, from a tour of the boat, to a special "Ren & Terry", and the secret video I call "Man, It's So Loud In Here".
More tonight, with Post 3. (I'll have Grandma post her version of yesterday within the hour.)

First Day (Post 1, Elaine's Version)
It was a good first day - everything went as planned and Steven arrived on time and "over budget"!! He's decided this was his first of very many solo flights. (To Roxane and Carlos: We just might have created a monster.)
Grandma had a very special present waiting for Steven - that must remain a secret until the end of his trip when he arrives home. Look out Troy and Ziggy.
My computer has never had so much high tech attention - Steven created this new blog (technical problems arose on the original) and is now working on my ipod - downloading music and somehow adding all the album cover images to the CD's already there. The more I give him to do the happier he is - hasn't stopped once since arrival!! He's a multi-tasker too - while working on the computer, he kept an eye on me while I packed and helped with wardrobe selection.
We'll be headed to the ship by 9 AM tomorrow - with video equipment, cameras and computers in tow. Steven's already concerned about how he'll pass three long hours on the road with nothing to do - but look out once we board. His challenge is to interview and get some footage of the Ship's Captain?! There's not doubt in my mind he'll be successful.

"Ipso Facto, I De-Planed" (Post 1, Steven's Version)
Hey everyone, it's Steven here with another blog entry in another blog.
This time, though, the the blog will cover my grandmother and my vacation on a cruise in the Bahamas. Also, we will do two versions of every post, so as to give you equal exposure to both our adventures.
My first adventure began today, when I flew to Florida and, began my travels. I flew alone, and had to wait until everyone was off the plane before I de-planed. Isaw and Grandma, we ran some errands, and we arrived at her house, where I saw my Uncle Jimmy and rested.
We then had some pizza, and now I'm here, jump-starting the blog.
See ya.
